In May 2024, GCNMS had the opportunity to participate in the PEPFAR Nursing Leadership Initiative Resource Fair, an event funded through the U.S. President's Emergency Plan for AIDS Relief (PEPFAR) and attended by multiple global partners and organizations. Held in Geneva, Switzerland, this event was a wonderful opportunity to network with health care professionals from around the globe, and to share some of the GCNMS' preliminary study findings to an audience of nurse scholars, representatives from ministries of health, nurse researchers, and other key nursing stakeholders. The event was also an opportunity to network with nurse leaders from Africa and further expand our current study exploring the pandemic-related experiences of nurses and midwives working on the African continent.
The GCNMS was incredibly well-represented by Vlora Ejupi, MSN, RN, pictured below speaking with meeting attendees about the work the GCNMS is doing. Vlora is the GCNMS country team lead for Kosovo, and on behalf of all consortium members, we thank her for representing the GCNMS and for all of her efforts to share our work at the fair. If you have not already had the chance to do so, you can download and read the preliminary findings report shared with fair attendees by downloading it below.
